Yesterday we introduced you to Tyrone Hayes, the UC-Berkeley biologist who expresses his opposition to the herbicide atrazine with shouty, rap lyric-quoting emails to its manufacturer, Syngenta. Well—there are many more Tyrone Hayes emails where those came from!

In fact, there are more than 100 pages of Dr. Hayes’ various emails to Syngenta people online, dating back several years. To read them all at once would perhaps be too much. But we’d be remiss if we didn’t give you a taste. The few below are sufficient to convey a sense of what Tyrone Hayes feels strongly about: the dangers of atrazine, the greatness of Tyrone Hayes, and Tyrone Hayes’ balls. Trick.

There’s no doubt that endocrine-disrupting chemicals (including, Hayes says, atrazine—we’re not scientists, but there’s obviously an argument to be made) pose a grave threat to ecosystems. There’s also no doubt that there has been a concerted effort by the chemical industry and its allies to discredit Dr. Hayes. That said: you’re helping them, dude. Why so crazy?
